Wallace Edward Harrison was the first in the line of Harrison auto body and radiator repairmen. Wallace worked on auto body repair in Chicago, IL during the prohibition era, working on vehicles owned by Frank Capone (brother of Al) and other famous and not-so-famous Chicagoans of the time. Wallace moved to Uvalde, Texas in the mid 1940's and began auto body and radiator work from his garage behind his house, in what was then Samsonville, now located in "North" Uvalde.

He worked in his father's shop as a child and after returning from his service in the U.S. Air Force, returned to his family business in the garage behind his house in "North" Uvalde. In 1967 he built Harrison Body & Radiator Shop (at that time about 5 miles east of Uvalde) in it's current location at 3321 East Main Street. The shop has catered to the needs of the Uvalde community for over 4 decades.
